Postcard of a French lady

Kittens!

It's not very often I come across pictures with cats in them- when I do, I snap them up! I love this picture of sisters with their mother.

Pals

I make no bones about loving these hand tinted postcards- they are some of my favourite in my collection. This one is from around WWI.

Ivy Coxall

The name is all that is written on the back... I'd love to know more about this glamour girl!

Beach huts and sunbathing

A brilliant picture showing beachwear in the WWI/early 20s era- I love the beach huts in the background

Girl in the garden

I love the hat! Apologies for the wonky setting- blame the scanner!

Family portrait

As a knitter and knitwear fan, I couldn't resist this picture when I saw it!

Mother and child

According to the back of this photo, it was taken at Killick and Abbott "Ivory miniature and portrait painters' at their Rosslyn Hill Studio, Hampstead. I love the detail in the fabric of the mother's skirt.

Relaxing in a castle turret...

On the back is written 'To Ken. Kindest regards from Margaret.'

A perfect day for a drive

This is a peculiar little photo that was obviously cut to fit in with a certain frame.  In the 'flesh', it's actually really tiny!

Rebellious women

This picture is from a set of two showing young women on a holiday somewhere snowy (I'm saving the other for a suitable day!) But this photo is fab; there's a real sense of rebellion and devil-may-care about these girls.
