There is something so peaceful and beautiful about how they posed for this photo especially the boy on the pillow...he seems just so graceful, and imagine how long they had to keep that position! Amazing!
I think this dog is definitely the family "pet," as opposed to the men's hunting dogs which probably were not allowed to step foot inside the house, let alone a photography studio.
It's interesting how only the mother and dog are looking into the lens of the camera. The boys are looking in different directions.
It's a beautiful photograph. Thanks for sharing it.
The dog looks much happier and more relaxed than the people.
ReplyDeletea gorgeous photo and so well posed...
ReplyDeleteThe subject of this photo has all the dearest things near her. Looks like her Bible, her sons and the family pet. Great photo.

ReplyDeleteThe dog looks happier than the rest of them :-) Jo
ReplyDeleteI can't help but wonder how they managed to get the dog to hold the pose. I love photos that include pets.
ReplyDeleteThe boys look like they'd better behave or else! Great photo.
